The materials

The softness of cashmere, the enveloping warmth of wool. Two natural fibres brought together in the Clover Blend: 70 % wool, 30 % cashmere.

Cashmere, a softness you can see

A cashmere goat in its pasture

Cashmere comes from the fine, delicate down that the cashmere goat grows beneath its coat to protect itself from extreme temperatures. On the vast steppes of Mongolia, where winters are long and harsh and temperatures swing widely, the goats naturally develop this insulating layer, remarkable for its softness and its lightness.

Mongolia has become one of the most respected origins for this exceptional fibre. Its rarity comes from the small quantity of down each goat produces, and from the painstaking work needed to gather it, separate it from the outer hair, sort it and transform it. Its quality rests above all on the fineness and the length of the fibres, and on the care taken at every stage of their preparation.

In the Clover Blend, the 30 % Mongolian cashmere brings its delicacy to the touch and contributes to that enveloping feeling you look for when you place a shawl over your shoulders.

A softness inherited from nature, a light warmth, and an elegance you feel before you see it.

Wool, comfort by nature.

A sheep’s fleece, close up

Drawn from the sheep’s fleece, wool is a naturally insulating fibre. Its crimped structure holds small pockets of air that help retain warmth, while its ability to absorb water vapour adds to the comfort of wearing it.

Wool also has a natural elasticity: its fibres can stretch and then return to their shape. That suppleness gives the cloth both spring and structure.

In the Clover Blend, the 70 % wool forms the base of the shawl. It brings warmth, structure and character, for a piece you want to wear every day.

Clover Blend. Two materials in balance.

We chose to bring wool and cashmere together so that their complementary qualities meet in a single cloth.

Wool brings its warmth and its natural spring. Cashmere enriches the blend with its fineness and its softness. Together they make a material meant to wrap the shoulders in comfort while keeping a real presence.

70 % wool, 30 % cashmere: our balance of softness, warmth and structure.

The Clover Blend expresses our idea of luxury: a material that is a pleasure to wear, a quiet look, and the joy of returning to your piece season after season.

At the beginning, the fibre.

The story of cashmere begins in the regions where goats grow a protective down against harsh winters. Mongolia and China are among its principal producing lands.

Wool comes from the fleece of sheep. Its handle and its properties vary with the breed, the fineness of the fibres and the way they are prepared.

For both materials, origin is only part of the story. Selection, sorting, spinning and making all contribute to the final quality of the shawl. A fine material is built at every stage.

Colours true to the Clover world.

Clover favours a natural, classic palette: soft whites, beiges, greys and a timeless black. Shades that answer one another, that combine easily, and that leave the texture of the material all the room it needs.

That restraint reflects our taste for a lasting elegance, the kind you are glad to find again season after season.

Our intention is to show the fibre at its best: its relief, its drape, its softness. Colour accompanies the material discreetly and gives each shawl its place in a personal wardrobe.

A material to love, a piece to care for.

Wool and cashmere deserve a gentle hand. Let your shawl air and rest between wearings, store it folded, and follow its label for cleaning.

Small pills may appear where the cloth rubs. Remove them gently with a proper tool, without pulling at the fibres.

Caring for your shawl extends the pleasure of wearing it.
